Abstract
The Autopsy Committee of the College of American Pathologists has prep ared this guideline in conjunction with representatives of other organ izations to assist pathologists in autopsy procedures for brain, spina l cord, and neuromuscular system. The guideline is to be regarded as b eing primarily an educational tool. Application of these recommendatio ns on autopsy reporting is to be made on the basis of the judgment of the pathologist engaged in a specific case.
