Abstract
We observe resonant enhancement of the microcavity exciton-polariton e mission by more than three orders of magnitude when the excitation las er is tuned to a single longitudinal-optical-phonon energy above the p olariton energies. Our finding provides a scheme to efficiently popula te k(parallel to) = 0 polaritons which bypasses the slow-acoustic-phon on thermalization process.
