Bc. Joshi et R. Lohani, NONRADIATIVE ENERGY-TRANSFER FROM DY3-GLASS( TO HO3+ IN ZINC PHOSPHATE), Journal of non-crystalline solids, 189(3), 1995, pp. 242-245
Energy transfer from optically excited Dy3+ to Ho3+ has been observed
in zinc phosphate glass. The study is primarily done by observing the
decrease in emission from the F-4(9/2) level of Dy3+ with varying Ho3 concentration. The energy transfer mechanism is mainly found to be el
ectric dipole-dipole in nature. Transfer probabilities, efficiencies a
nd average donor-acceptor distances have been calculated.
