Abstract
We investigate experimentally the issue of selecting classes of multip le particle decay events in nucleus-nucleus collisions at intermediate energy taking into account the fluctuations of global observables. We show that observed binomial-like multiplicity distributions do not ne cessarily imply evidence of reducibility to an elementary binary emiss ion probability.
