J. Kirschner et al., ANGLE-RESOLVED ENERGY CORRELATED COINCIDENCE ELECTRON-SPECTROSCOPY OFSOLID-SURFACES, Physical review letters, 75(12), 1995, pp. 2424-2427
We report on the first measurements of the angle resolved energy distr
ibution of correlated electrons created in single scattering events by
low energy (E(p) = 14-25 eV) electrons. We combined coincidence and t
ime-of-flight techniques to measure simultaneously energies and moment
a of both scattered electrons of the correlated pair. The measurements
were performed in the backscattering geometry on a single crystal W(1
00) and a thin film of LiF. We found that the most probable energy dis
tribution of electron pairs corresponds to a constant sum of energies
of both electrons.
