Abstract
The synthesis of 4,7-di- and 4,7,7-trisubtituted -dioxoperhydropyrrolo [1,2-a]pyrazine-7-carboxylate derivatives is described. The approach u sed for the preparation of this heterocyclic template is based on the reductive amination of 4-ketodiesters derived from dipeptides.
