This note proposes a dynamic compensation method for multivariable con
trol systems with saturating actuators to cope with the reset windup p
henomenon. A dynamic compensator is explicitly determined based on a p
erformance index of controller states. The proposed method is applicab
le to any open-loop stable plants with saturating actuators whose cont
roller has been determined by some design technique. A simulation exam
ple is included to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method
