Abstract
Theoretical analysis and computer simulation of the magnetic field (or current) penetration into the plasma in the Z-pinch or in the plasma diode was performed for plasma parameters corresponding to the validit y range of the electron magnetohydrodynamics. Although the field-trans fer processes are known to be nontrivial in the framework of electron magnetohydrodynamics, in many cases, they can be simulated using a mod ified magnetic-field diffusion coefficient. Some variants of such a mo dification are discussed.
