A formalism is proposed for analyzing angular correlations of particle
s produced in hadron-nucleus collisions at incident-hadron energies of
a few GeV per nucleon. The method is based on the Glauber-Sitenko mod
el of multiple scattering and on the cluster representation of the nuc
lear wave function inspired by the spectroscopic-factor theory. The ca
lculations performed in this model enable us to evaluate the relative
contributions of specific interaction mechanisms to the amplitude of f
ragmentation processes in various kinematic domains.
