Abstract
This paper discusses the main regularities of the formation of the fun damental laser mode in the Fabry-Perot cavities of solid-state lasers whose exit mirror is an amplitude-phase filter of trapezoidal shape th at is nonuniform over the cross section. It is shown theoretically and experimentally that using such optical components substantially impro ves the output parameters of the laser radiation; namely, it decreases the laser's divergence and increases its energy efficiency.
