Abstract
Different methods for solid phase extraction (SPE) of polar, organic c ompounds found in Elbe water were compared, Mass-spectrometric detecti on (MS) after liquid chromatographic separation (LC) or flow injection analysis (FIA) and thermospray ionization (TSP) was used to assess th e concentration behaviour as well as the detection techniques. A selec ted compound was identified using tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) car rying out mixture analysis.
