Abstract
New high resolution geophysical results from EM1000 swath-bathymetry s ystem and Very High Resolution reflection seismic data are presented. A Neogene tectonic origin of the Hurd Deep and the interplay of erosio n and sedimentation during the last glacial and inter-glacial periods are here argued by interpretation of these results in term of geomorph ology and sequence stratigraphy.
