B. Kleimt et S. Kohle, DYNAMIC-MODEL FOR SIMULATING THE DECARBUR IZATION OF STEEL HEATS IN THE VACUUM RECIRCULATION PROCESS, Stahl und Eisen, 115(8), 1995, pp. 75
Based on physical and thermodynamic dependencies a dynamic model of th
e vacuum circulation process for steel decarburisation was developed.
It includes as process parts the steel circulation, the decarburisatio
n reaction, the adjustment of vessel pressure with its influence on th
e carbon equilibrium content and the oxygen pickup from the ladle slag
. The model was verified by comparison of simulation results to measur
ed process data. During verification the main process parameters were
identified. The model allows to simulate the behaviour of all importan
t process values with good accuracy and can be used for optimisation o
f plant construction and operation as well as for improvement of proce
ss control.
