Abstract
The dynamics of progression of 4:1 atrioventricular (AV) block have no t been studied. Atrial flutter appeared to be a good model for this pu rpose because potential clinical problems that could arise when high d egrees (>4:1) of AV block occur during sinus rhythm are less likely to be encountered.
