Jc. Ozouf et al., CHARACTERISTIC SECTIONS IN THE SLOPE DEPO SITS OF NORTHERN AQUITAINE FACIES AND DYNAMIC INTERPRETATION, Permafrost and periglacial processes, 6(2), 1995, pp. 89-101
Sections characteristic of the slope deposits of northern Aquitaine ar
e reported and discussed. In the western area, in Charente, grezes lit
ees are the result of solifluction processes. To the east, in Perigord
, facies are more diversified and are related to varied dynamic proces
ses: solifluction lobes, plug-like flow, rockfalls, grain flows, debri
s flows and mud flows. These differences can be explained by the more
diversified parent rock and the more contrasted topography in Perigord
.
