A truncated equation governing wave dynamics in an electron-positron p
lasma in the neighborhood of the intersection point of dispersion curv
es is obtained. Characteristics of this equation are discussed includi
ng integrals of motion, solitons in terms of steady nonlinear waves an
d their stability, solitons, and self-similar substitutions. The work
is of interest for the general theory of nonlinear wave systems and fo
r physics of a pulsar magnetosphere.
