Im. Kutyrina et al., USE OF INHIBITORS OF ANGIOTENSIN-CONVERTI NG ENZYME IN CHRONIC DIFFUSE RENAL DISEASES, Terapevticeskij arhiv, 67(5), 1995, pp. 20-23
The treatment with inhibitors of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) w
as conducted in 57 patients with chronic diffuse renal diseases. Of th
em 45 patients received capoten, 12 patients renitek. ACE-inhibitors w
ere examined for effects on arterial pressure, proteinuria, renal and
intrarenal hemodynamics. A hypotensive effect was apparant in hyperten
sion and minimal in normotension. One month later renal bloodflow incr
eased, glomerular filtration rate did not change. ACE-inhibitors prove
d able to correct intrarenal hypertension: renal functional reserve re
turned to normal on posttreatment month 1-3 in 10 of 16 patients. Noti
ceable antiproteinuria effect of the drugs emerged 3 months after the
treatment.
