STATUS OF THE CSM STRIP CASTING PROCESS

In this paper, different activities carried out in the framework of CS M/AST Strip Casting project are described, Particularly, the principal results concerning liquid steel feeding into the mould, lateral conta inment of steel, casting roll behaviour, steel solidification phenomen a are shown. Besides, the improvements obtained on the strip quality a nd geometry by the application of these results are also illustrated.
