Abstract
This paper summarizes advances in the determination of benzanthrone an d other polycyclic aromatic ketones in environmental samples in the la st 20 years. Data on toxicity and mutagenicity are also reviewed. Meth ods of determination include liquid chromatography, high-performance l iquid chromatography, gas chromatography and gas chromatography-mass s pectrometry.
