Abstract
We consider the possibility that DC magnetic fields can interact in a resonant manner with endogenous AC electric fields in biological syste ms. Intrinsic electric-field ion cyclotron resonance (ICR) interaction s would be more physically credible than models based on external AC m agnetic fields and might be expected as an evolutionary response to th e long-term constancy of the geomagnetic field.
