The high frequency performance of capacitors is related to their geome try and material properties, By considering multilayer capacitors (MLC ) as distributed electrical systems, computer-aided multi-conductor tr ansmission line analyses is applied to study resonant frequencies, equ ivalent circuits of capacitors, and the influence of ground planes, te st fixtures, and type of connection topology, The methods established are applied to well-documented capacitors described in the literature and good agreement between experimental results and analyses is obtain ed.
