Abstract
Ultrasonography of the umbilical vessels and the urachus is a non-inva sive diagnostic procedure to examine the localization and the extend o f inflammatory alterations. The interpretation of different ultrasound findings and resulting consequences for the treatment of umbilical di seases are discussed.
