SIMPLE EXPRESSIONS FOR THE ELECTRONEGATIVITY AND PHYSICOCHEMICAL PARAMETERS OF ALKALI-HALIDES

Formulae relating Martynov and Bastsanov electronegativities and some physico-chemical parameters of alkali halides are proposed. The estima ted heat of atomization, energy gap, bond energy, refractive index, in terionic distance, plasma energy, ionization potential and lattice ene rgy values are in good agreement with the values cited in the literatu re. The proposed equations are simple and have the advantage over othe rs that less computational work is involved in the calculations of phy sico-chemical parameters of alkali halides.
