Abstract
Structural changes of the intermetallic compound Nb3Al before and afte r hydriding and dehydriding have been investigated by X-ray diffractio n, electron microscopy and thermal analysis. A fine powder of this com pound with an average particle size less than 14 mu m can be easily pr epared by hydriding at 773 K for 86.4 x 10(3) s and dehydriding at 107 3 K for 10.8 x 10(3) s.
