Abstract
The analytical calculation of the elastic characteristics of plywood w ere made from a modelisation based on the thin laminated plates theory using the plywood density rho at H% moisture content as a simple indi cator of wood characteristics in each ply. The bending-torsion moduli' s predictions were confirmed with a notable accuracy by 2 mechanical t ests made on balanced okoume plywood one bending and another torsion. The high achievements of these devices were reached thanks to the orig inal technological features implemented on supports.
