Abstract
This paper presents phased-army antenna performance predictions to hel p position an antenna on an aircraft. The baseline case is a symmetric al, planar array located horizontally on top of the fuselage. An array tilted at various angles to simulate different installation locations on the aircraft is considered. Scan loss contours, also called scanni ng shields, that show coverage as a function of tilt angle are present ed.
