Abstract
A series of Re(I) complexes of [Re(L)(CO)(3)Cl] (1, L = L(1) = ,4,7,10 ,13-benzopentaoxacyclononadecan-16-ylamine; 2, L = L(2) = N-(2-pyridin ylmethylene)-phenylamine) and [Re(phen)(CO)(3)(L')](+) (3, L' = L(3) = 1-(4-pyridinylformyl)aza-15-crown-5; 4, L' = L(4) = 4-(N,N-diethylfor mamido)pyridine) have been synthesized and their photophysical and cat ion binding properties studied. The X-ray crystal structure of 3 has a lso been determined.
