Abstract
The alkynylcobalt complexes Co(C=CR)(CO){PPh(OEt)(2)}(3) (1) (R = Ph, p-tol) were prepared. Protonation reaction with HBF4 . Et(2)O or CF3SO 3H allowed the synthesis of C6H4P(OEt)(2)C(H)=C(H)R}(CO){PPh(OEt)(2)}( 2)BPh(4) (2) derivatives, which were characterized crystallographicall y and spectroscopically. Oxidation of 1 with I-2 affording CoI2(C=CR)- (CO){PPh(OEt)(2))(2) was also tested.
