We report results of a Raman scattering study of superconducting YNi2B
2C with T-c = 15.2 K. A redistribution of low-frequency light scatteri
ng intensity is observed in the temperature range 10-200 K. It is inte
rpreted in terms of electron-hole excitations and their scattering due
to impurities and phonons. The scattering rate is found to decrease l
inearly with temperature.
