S. Nakae et al., TRUNCUS ARTERIOSUS WITH INTERRUPTED AORTIC-ARCH - SUCCESSFUL CORRECTION USING AUTOLOGOUS FLAP, The Annals of thoracic surgery, 60(3), 1995, pp. 697-698
A newborn baby with type II truncus arteriosus and type B interrupted
aortic arch was successfully treated by creating a pulmonary tract usi
ng autologous nap made from truncal wall without excision of the pulmo
nary artery and by reconstructing the aortic arch with direct anastomo
sis. This method provided excellent hemodynamics with wide reconstruct
ion of the pulmonary tract without conduit.
