F. Olive et al., EXCESS VOLUMES AND VISCOSITIES OF THE TERNARY-SYSTEM WATER-TRIFLUOROETHANOL-TETRAETHYLENE GLYCOL DIMETHYL ETHER AT 303.15 K, Thermochimica acta, 259(1), 1995, pp. 57-70
Densities and kinematic viscosities of the ternary mixture water-trifl
uoroethanol-tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether have been measured at
303.15K and atmospheric pressure over the entire range of compositions
, Excess molar volumes and excess viscosities were obtained from the e
xperimental results. The excess volumes were negative and excess visco
sities were positive, indicating the asymmetric composition dependence
of the two thermodynamic properties. The excess volumes have been cor
related, by the Redlich-Kister equation and the kinematic viscosity da
ta have been fitted using the Stephan and Heckenberger correlation.
