NOVEL GOLD-DITHIOL NANO-NETWORKS WITH NONMETALLIC ELECTRONIC-PROPERTIES

Communication: Stable nanostructured networks of quantum-sized particl es have been prepared (see Figure) using self-assembly techniques. Her e, two new techniques are reported for the preparation of non-metallic composite materials comprising nanometer-sized gold particles self as sembled into a 3-D network by means of organic dithiols.
