Abstract
We describe the general characteristics of the TIRGO infrared telescop e, located on Gornergrat (Switzerland), and its most recent instrument ation. This telescope is specifically designed for infrared astronomic al observations. Two newly designed instruments are presented: the ima ging camera Arnica and the long-slit spectrometer LonGSp, both based o n two-dimensional array detectors.
