MANGANESE(IV) COMPLEXES WITH TRIDENTATE D IACIDIC LIGANDS - CRYSTAL-STRUCTURE OF HYDEBENZOYLHYDRAZONATO(2-)-METHANOL-MANGANESE(III)

The manganese(IV) chelates of salicylaldehyde benzoylhydrazone and sal icylaldehyde salicylhydrazone were synthesized by ligand exchange reac tions using bis(acetylacetonato)manganese(II), tris(acetylacetonato)ma nganese(III) as well as manganese(III) acetate. The brown complexes sh ow the expected molecular ions in the APCI mass spectra. As an interme diate compound hydebenzoylhydrazonato(2-)-methanol-manganese(III) was is elated and characterized by X-ray structural analysis. Crystallogra phic data see ,,Inhaltsubersicht''.
