Abstract
The problem of computing the transfer function matrices for regular an d singular discrete two-dimensional general state-space models (2D GM) is discussed, and some programmable algorithms are developed that gen eralize the well-known Leverrier algorithm to 2D systems of general fo rm. The results also show that the transfer function matrices for regu lar and singular 2D GM can also be formulated via the state-transition matrices of the systems.
