Abstract
The luminescence of Ba2TiO4, the only compound with TiO4 tetrahedra, i s reported and discussed. The quantum efficiency is low. The reason fo r this is discussed in relation to the luminescence of isoelectronic c omplexes. (C) 1995 academic Press, Inc.
