Sb. Middleton et al., PARTIAL EXCISION OF THE CLAVICLE FOR NONUNION IN NATIONAL-HUNT JOCKEYS, Journal of bone and joint surgery. British volume, 77(5), 1995, pp. 778-780
National Hunt jockeys suffer a disproportionate number of clavicular f
ractures and their return to riding may be considerably delayed by ref
racture and symptomatic nonunion,,vith obvious implications, We report
six such cases in which excision of the clavicular fragment distal to
the fracture was associated with an early return to work and no recur
rent injury to the shoulder.
