Abstract
Various diethyl beta-functional gamma-oxo alkylphosphonates (3) were c onveniently prepared using two complementary inexpensive strategies, a nd were reacted with hydrazine, methylhydrazine or phenylhydrazine giv ing regioselectively new diethyl 1-(pyrazol-4-yl)-alkylphosphonates (4 ), isolated in high yields.
