Abstract
We have investigated the mesomorphic behaviour of a partially deuteria ted side chain LC polymethacrylate, [6-methacryloyloxyhexyl-oxy]4'-met hoxyazobenzene], by means of H-2 NMR, DSC and optical microscopy. Evid ence for a phase transition occurring in the middle of the nematic pha se has been found.
