Am. Vandecraats et G. Blasse, THE QUENCHING OF BISMUTH(III) LUMINESCENCE IN YTTRIUM-OXIDE (Y2O3), Chemical physics letters, 243(5-6), 1995, pp. 559-563
The luminescence intensity of Bi3+ in Y2O3 decreases not only on incre
asing but also on decreasing the temperature. An explanation is propos
ed and the nature of the nonradiative process is discussed. Data on Bi
3+-activated Lu2O3 and La2O3 are also reported.
