The Sunday evening Image Interpretation Session has become the most po pular single highlight of the annual meeting of the Radiological Socie ty of North America, Now in its 57th year, the film panel session bega n in 1939, with registrants invited to bring interesting cases for rev iew, In the current format, 10 challenging cases are presented to a pa nel of distinguished radiologists, Pertinent images and very limited c linical. data are provided for each case, The panel and the audience a re asked to evaluate and synthesize the findings and data, From this a nalysis, it is expected that an appropriate differential diagnosis and , hopefully, the correct diagnosis will be attainable for each case, M uch more important than the specific answer, however, is the opportuni ty to illustrate the experts' approach to diagnostic problem solving, The purpose of the session is to further the education of everyone inv olved, including the panel and moderator.
