VLA IMAGING OF A SAMPLE OF STEEP-SPECTRUM RADIO GALAXIES

We present a VLA A-configuration imaging survey of 136 compact steep-s pectrum radio sources. These are selected to have a spectral index ste eper than 0.9 and a size smaller than 30 ''. These sources are all in the declination range +/- 4 degrees. Single-frequency maps of 136 sour ces, along with 11 sources mapped at two frequencies, are presented. T he accurate positions of these sources derived from the maps are now b eing used to perform CCD imaging and spectroscopy.
