Abstract
The investigation of heart rate variability provides information on au tonomic regulation of cardiac function. Decreased heart rate variabili ty is considered to be a sensitive and independent predictor of life-t reatening ventricular arrhythmias and thus indicator of increased risk of sudden death. Observation of heart rate variability changes may be come one of important tools for evaluation of efficacy of antiarrhythm ic therapy.
