Deviations from a Poisson-like distribution of count numbers in the ch
annels of lifetime spectra have been reported recently. In this paper,
two sources of this anomaly are discussed: fluctuation of the spectru
m position on the scale of delays, and nonlinearity of time scale, par
ticularly odd-even difference of channel widths in multichannel analys
ers.
