Abstract
This study shows an increase in left atrial appendage flow after percu taneous mitral valvuloplasty in both normal sinus rhythm and atrial fi brillation. Thus, relief of mitral stenosis may not only confer hemody namic benefits for the improvement of symptoms but also have a favorab le influence on future thromboembolism.
