Abstract
In the present study we first counted the pigmented spots that surroun d Cryptocotyle spp. metacercariae in the skin of fish. Thereafter we d igested the skin and counted the parasites. It was then possible both to quantify the present infections and to estimate the number of metac ercariae that had died recently.
