Abstract
One-bit over sampled or Sigma-Delta analog-to-digital conversion has b een the subject of much research attention in recent years, finding us e in a wide variety of applications. Theoretical analysis of this conv ersion method has been complicated by the nonlinear nature of the proc ess, precluding the application of standard linear circuit analysis me thods. In recent years a number of researchers have applied theory and techniques of nonlinear dynamics to the study of Sigma-Delta modulati on. This paper provides a summary of the results thus obtained.
