APPROXIMATE RELIABILITY-ANALYSIS OF WOOD STRUCTURAL SYSTEMS

An approximate system reliability analysis method, including system ef fects and load duration effects, is used to study the lifetime behavio r of wood floor and roof systems. Based on the results from a simplifi ed beam-spring model, reliability analysis of a system is performed us ing a single specific partially composite member incorporated with the distributions of order statistics of the lumber strength. Different l oad models and damage accumulation models are also investigated.
