Abstract
The synthesis of omo-5-iodo-4-oxo-1,4-dihydroquinoline-2-carboxylic ac id 7 is described. The synthesis was started from 2,6-dibromo-4-nitroa niline and carried out using a modified Conrad-Limpach procedure follo wed by a nucleophilic non-isotopic exchange.
