Ev. Gomonaj et Va. Lvov, MARTENSITIC PHASE-TRANSITION WITH 2-COMPONENT ORDER-PARAMETER IN A STRESSED CUBIC-CRYSTAL, Phase transitions, 47(1-2), 1994, pp. 9-21
Martensitic phase transitions in a stressed cubic crystal are studied
by means of Landau theory with a two-component order parameter. The st
ress-temperature phase diagram is analyzed theoretically and is shown
to consist of six essentially different regions isolated by the liabil
ity lines of austenite, tetragonal martensitic and orthorhombic marten
sitic phases. The triple point is also present in the phase diagram. T
he role of the cubic term in the Landau-Ginzburg potential in the desc
ription of the phase transition properties is emphasized.
